Golf writers tour the West Kootenays
Writers from throughout North America were in the West Kootenays from July 27-30th to attend a 3.5 day regional media event organized by Redstone and 23 local partners. Designed to showcase the golf lifestyle offering from Ainsworth Hot springs to Christina Lake the event attracted writers from such publications as: Score Golf, www.jurock.com, Western Investor, Fairways and Greens, Western Living, Enroute Magazine, www.travelgolf.com,
MSNBC, and more.

The trip has already generated tangible results for the region and articles have come out in Score Golf online and www.jurock.com.

redstone reaches agreement with birchbank board of directors

After some friendly meetings, Redstone has reached agreement with the management & board of the Rossland Trail Country club to buy-out the clubs lease to manage the Rossland course (which was to go to December 21, 2014).
Under the terms of the buy-out, Redstone will take over complete control of the course as of February 1st, 2007.

Reciprocal membership benefits
Redstone and the Rossland- Trail Country Club are pleased to announce a 50% reciprocal green fee discount for members of each course. This will last for a period of 5 years and start when both courses are open in the spring of ’07 (please note: certain restrictions apply).

We look forward to a great working relationship with RTCC.

With 6 styles of custom alpine homes to choose from, and finished building prices starting from $95 sq’ there are currently between 10-15 planned home construction starts for the fall of 2006.

New back nine really taking shape
Course construction is proceeding on schedule! All fairway sub-grade contouring, and the installation of sub-surface green & fairway drainage is now complete.

Once the sprinkler system is finished on the back nine a layer of top soil will be placed over the sub-grade and planting will commence.

New pond between the 16th and 17th fairway. Pump house installation and construction is underway. Once the irrigation system is in place, the retaining pond will service the water requirements for this part of the course.

Phase 1 sub-grade road construction is approximately 2 weeks ahead of schedule, with Redstone drive, Silvertip and Lynx Road already 75-95% complete. The installation of sewer, storm drain and water pipes throughout the subdivision is 75%finished, and road paving is expected to start in September.
